FAQs

What is Skin Coaching?

Skin coaching is a 1:1 online service that is offered by our Medical Aesthetician and Skin Care Expert. It is a service designed to help clients gain a better understanding of their skin, the products we use on our skin, and how our diet and lifestyle can affect the way our skin looks and feels. While this particular service is designed for the face, any area of the body can be treated.

Who benefits from this service?

Anyone struggling with a skin concern or skin condition can benefit from skin coaching. Whether you are struggling with acne, or perhaps you feel like your skin has become dull and want it to look bright and youthful again, our skin care expert has tips and tricks to help you achieve your dream skin.

How often do I have to go?

The frequency of your appointments depends on a few factors such as severity and what your goal may be. Ideally, clients will book the initial session, and then book follow-up appointments every two weeks for two to three months. This ensures that our skin care plan is working, and if there are any changes that need to be made or additional concerns to be addressed. From there, a monthly follow-up can be booked or clients can book follow-up appointments as desired.

What’s included in the sessions?

The initial session includes a detailed medical/skin care history overview with your therapist, skin care planning, and diet/lifestyle tracking tips. During your initial session, your therapist may make suggestions with what skin care you can consider switching to, foods to try or avoid and lifestyle changes you can try implementing.

During your follow-up sessions, your therapist will go over the results from the treatment to date, and address any concerns you might have or changes to the plan of care that need to be made. Progress will be tracked for two to three months so that adjustments can be made throughout treatment as necessary.

Will I be prescribed medications?

You will never be prescribed any medications or topicals, as our skin care expert is a licensed medical aesthetician and not a board certified physician. It is important to also note that your therapist cannot diagnose a skin condition or disease, but they can make suggestions to visit your family doctor or a specialist if they think it is necessary.
